Game Rules
Welcome to InfinityMU! Please take a few minutes to read through our game rules. These guidelines ensure a fair, respectful, and fun experience for all players. By registering and participating, you acknowledge and accept these rules. Ignorance of the rules is not a valid excuse for any violations.
∞ Account ∞
- Character and Guild Names: All names must be appropriate and respectful. Offensive, vulgar, discriminatory, or sexually explicit names are strictly prohibited. Violators will be banned immediately—no warnings will be issued.
- Account Limits: You may register up to five accounts. Using more than ten accounts will lead to a permanent ban across all accounts, including an IP-range ban.
- Account Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the security of your account. Do not share your login credentials, even with close friends or family. Any actions taken on your account will be considered your responsibility.
- Approved Proxy Servers: Only the following proxy servers are permitted for use: Pingbooster, WTFast, and ExitLag servers located in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and all servers in Canada. For best results, connect to a Canadian server, where InfinityMU is hosted.
- Account Sharing: Sharing your account with others is not allowed. This rule protects both your data and game integrity. Shared accounts are not eligible for support in case of issues.
- Account Transactions: Selling, trading, or giving away accounts is strictly forbidden. Accounts involved in such activities will be permanently banned and deleted.
- Cross-Server Activity: Trading, buying, or selling items or accounts between InfinityMU and its sister servers is not allowed. Any such activity may result in temporary or permanent account bans.
- Real Money Transactions: Selling or purchasing anything from the game with real-world currency is a serious offense. First violations may result in temporary bans; repeated offenses will result in permanent account bans.
- Email and Password Security: Use a valid and unique email address when registering your account. Your password should be strong and never shared with anyone. It is your responsibility to keep your credentials safe.
∞ Admins and Game Masters ∞
- Requesting Staff Roles: Repeatedly asking or begging to become a staff member is not tolerated and may lead to temporary bans.
- Disciplinary Actions: Penalties for rule-breaking are at the discretion of the admin team. You may appeal reasonably, but arguments and complaints may lead to longer bans.
- Favor Requests: Game Masters are not allowed to fulfill personal requests for items, stats, or other benefits.
- Dishonesty: Attempting to deceive staff, such as providing false reports or edited screenshots, will result in severe penalties.
- Impersonation: Impersonating a staff member in any form is strictly prohibited. Our team will never ask for your password or offer items outside of official events.
∞ Hacking, Exploits & Bugs ∞
- Hacks: Any form of cheating (except macros) is forbidden.
- Exploits: Using or spreading exploits leads to a ban.
- Macro abuse in PvP: Forbidden when combining Rageful Blow (BK) or DL Left Click with auto potions/combos.
- Scams: Scamming is a bannable offense. [How to stay safe]
- Game bugs: Abusing bugs will result in bans and inventory wipe.
- Reporting bugs: Report bugs to staff. Cooperation may be rewarded.
- Stats screenshots: Must be provided immediately when requested. Editing screenshots leads to bans.
- Lag abusing: Deliberate lag creation is punishable. Legitimate lag is verified by IP trace.
- Guild Score abuse: Simulated wars lead to warnings, guild score wipe, and bans for repeat offenses.
∞ Castle Siege ∞
- Transformation Rings: Not allowed during Castle Siege.
- Pets: Only specific pets are allowed (e.g. Elf pets, DL's Horse). Horse can't be used to seal.
- Fake guilds: Banned from Castle Siege registration.
- Crown/Seals: No item dropping or using blocking items. Pets cannot be used for sealing.
- Fake switching: Switching in favor of defenders is bannable. [More info]
- Recording required: All sealers must record their gameplay in 1080p and submit it by Wednesday.
- Stern abuse: Repeated abuse leads to temporary or permanent bans.
- Ruining the Event: Not attempting to seal/hold both switches may lead to DQ and ban.
- Disturbing Siege: Only registered guilds can enter Valley of Loren. Others will be punished.
∞ Duel System ∞
- Shield abuse: Constant shield skill usage is bannable for 7 days.
- Duel simulating: Buying or faking duels leads to a temp ban.
- Running: Constant running in duels is punishable.
- Refusing bet payment: Failure to pay after losing a formal bet duel leads to a ban.
∞ Battle Event ∞
- No teaming, kill-feeding, or external buffs. Use only your class buff.
- No NPC buffers. Use
/offbuffif needed. - No party allowed. Reported violations = DQ + ban.
- No participating with alt characters in top 3 rankings.
∞ Chat ∞
- General: Insults or harassment = temp or perm ban. Report with full chat log.
- Advertising: Talking about other MU servers = permanent ban + IP/Hardware ID ban.
- Global chat (/post): Spamming more than 5x/min is acceptable; excessive spam leads to bans.
- Normal chat: Spam is treated with temporary character ban.
- Staff disrespect: Respect staff and the community. Misconduct leads to bans. Report via forum if needed.
